CrossFit athletes do run. 😄⁣ ⁣ Another great morning on the trails with Walnut Creek Run Club and CrossFit Sweat Shop.⁣ ⁣ This trail has a way of making the climb feel worth it. Cool shade, towering redwoods, and a great group to share it with.⁣ ⁣ One of my favorite parts about these runs is seeing runners and CrossFit athletes out there together. Different training styles, but the same goal: getting outside, staying healthy, challenging ourselves, and enjoying good company.⁣ ⁣ Maybe runners and CrossFit don’t live in completely different worlds after all.⁣ ⁣ Looking forward to the next one. 🌲🏃⁣
This shirt means a lot more to me today than it di This shirt means a lot more to me today than it did when I first designed it.⁣ ⁣ Back in 2020, “Forging Resilience” was inspired by all the discussion around healthy, fit people having greater resilience to COVID.⁣ ⁣ Then life gave those words a completely different meaning.⁣ ⁣ Looking back, I’m actually grateful for everything we went through. It wasn’t fun, but it proved something to me that I had always hoped was true...⁣ ⁣ I’m capable of a lot more than I thought.⁣ ⁣ I think that’s one of the biggest benefits of consistently doing hard things. You don’t become tougher just for the sake of being tough. You build confidence in yourself. When life eventually throws you something difficult, you’ve already spent years proving to yourself that you can handle hard things.⁣ ⁣ To everyone who stuck with Sweat Shop through those parking lot workouts... thank you. We wouldn’t be here without you.⁣ ⁣ I hope this shirt serves as a reminder that resilience isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build.⁣
There was something pretty cool about this Sunday. There was something pretty cool about this Sunday.⁣ ⁣ Runners from Walnut Creek Run Club and members from CrossFit Sweat Shop came together for a lap around the Lafayette Reservoir Rim Trail.⁣ ⁣ Different backgrounds. Different training styles. Same appreciation for getting outside and moving.⁣ ⁣ One of the biggest misconceptions about CrossFit is that it’s only Olympic lifting, burpees, and all-out intensity. The reality is much simpler.⁣ ⁣ Many of us love lifting weights.⁣ ⁣ Many of us love running.⁣ ⁣ Many of us hike, bike, paddleboard, ski, play pickleball, train for HYROX, or simply enjoy being active with good people.⁣ ⁣ CrossFit just happens to be one of the ways we train together.⁣ ⁣ Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made it a great morning.
