- How long have you been doing CrossFit?
- 3 years
- What were you doing for exercise before CrossFit?
- I used to go to a boxing gym almost every day. Once I moved out here, I was meandering around Crunch.
- How did you begin training at CrossFit Sweat Shop?
- I was told that I should try CrossFit as a way to make friends and that It was just something I would like. I initially picked sweatshop because it was close to work. It ended up being one of the best things I’ve ever done.
- What has been the most significant benefit or change since you’ve been a member of the Sweat Shop?
- I make overall healthier choices.
- What is your favorite exercise or workout?
- Back squats, baby!
- What is your least favorite exercise or workout?
- Assault bike and sled pushes. The worst!
- What is your favorite cheat meal/snack?
- That good ‘ole southern fried chicken.
- What do you enjoy most about training at CrossFit Sweat Shop?
- The environment! Everyone is so friendly and I don’t ever feel weird being myself or people judging how ridiculous I might look doing something.
- Now that you’ve been doing CrossFit, what’s one thing you could never see yourself doing again? (workout, nutrition, lifestyle, etc.)
- I can’t go back to your average joe gym. I need someone to tell me what to do.
- What is your proudest exercise related achievement?
- Completing my first CrossFit Open workout (17.1) It was absolutely brutal and I was able to realize a mental grit I didn’t know I had.
- What advice would you give someone who is hesitant to try CrossFit?
- It’s definitely intimidating at first, but you’ll meet a lot of great people and have so much fun working out!
- What is your most sought after exercise goal?
- At some point, a body weight snatch.
- What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit?
- Going to raves and music festivals!
- What is something you have recently purchased for less than $100 (or acquired for free) that you thoroughly enjoy and would recommend to others?
- Barbella box. It’s a subscription box specifically geared towards women and fitness. I’ve gotten cool clothing and fitness gear as a surprise gift to myself almost every month.
- Any advice you would give your 25 year old self?
- Test your limits but don’t overstep them. It’s not worth the injuries. And don’t bother asking your significant other to help 1 on 1 coach you, you won’t listen anyways (sorry DJ).
