Skiing in the Alps

Although our new ski erg won’t really get you ready to hit the slopes, it’s a great new modality of exercise that you can incorporate into your workouts at the Sweat Shop. First off, Chris Grames just posted a nice little piece on ski erg technique on the Sweat Shop Members page so check it out if you haven’t gotten a chance yet! If you’re like Brandon Banks and don’t have a Facebook, you can check out the piece here!!! Also, if you are not a member yet feel free to ask one of your coaches to add you. It’s a great way to stay up on announcements, events, and holiday class schedules!

And now back to our new ski erg…

Awhile ago, when we got our new assault bike toys, I posted a couple of workouts for you all to try out, or to at least to get you on the bike! With that being said, here are a couple workouts to get ya’ll going on the ski erg!


8 Rounds

1:30 Max Distance

1:30 rest


Tabata (8 Rounds of :20 on/:10 off)

Max Calories


10:00 Clock

Max Distance

*team up with a buddy and switch off every minute (20:00 if you guys have the time!)


Alt. Every 1:00 for 30:00

  3. :45 Max Cal Ski

200m Ski

*1 minute rest in between rounds (focus on a consistent pace)
