  1. How long have you been doing CrossFit?
  2. I’ve been doing crossfit for about 6 years or so. I started out in my parents garage with my brother back in 2013. We recreated the garage into a gym with all the standard crossfit equipment. It wasn’t until about 2016 that I joined an actual crossfit gym.


  1. What were you doing for exercise before CrossFit?
  2. Regular lifting routine and cardio at my college or local gym.


  1. How did you begin training at CrossFit Sweat Shop?
  2. I moved out here in January 2017 from Ohio and one of the first things I looked for was a gym. I tried one other crossfit gym before Sweat Shop but once I dropped in at Sweat Shop I knew I was sticking around.


  1. What has been the most significant benefit or change since you’ve been a member of the Sweat Shop?
  2. Learning new movements, exercises, and strengthening my skills/lifts.


  1.  What is your favorite exercise or workout?
  2. I love anything with deadlifts!


  1. What is your least favorite exercise or workout?
  2. Burpees and thrusters.


  1. What is your favorite cheat meal/snack?
  2. Ice cream or really any dessert.


  1. What do you enjoy most about training at CrossFit Sweat Shop
  2. The people, the coaches, and the programming.


  1. Now that you’ve been doing CrossFit, what’s one thing you could never see yourself doing again?  (workout, nutrition, lifestyle, etc.)
  2. I am more open minded about trying different work-out styles and I wouldn’t necessarily rule anything out but I don’t think I could go back to doing plain old cardio for hours on end like I did in college.


  1. What is your proudest exercise related achievement?
  2. My proudest crossfit related achievement is getting my first bar and ring muscle-ups. My proudest exercise related achievement in general is finishing my first full marathon this past July.


  1. What advice would you give someone who is hesitant to try CrossFit?
  2. Keep an open ming and give it a try! It can seem intimidating at first but everything can be modified and you aren’t alone. Everyone starts somewhere and there are always people cheering for you and pushing you to keep going.


  1. What is your most sought after exercise goal?
  2. Handstand walks and to be able to do bar/ring muscle ups consistently.


  1. What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit?
  2. Traveling, reading, hanging out with friends, trying new foods/drinks, and anything outdoors.


  1. What is something you have recently purchased for less than $100 (or acquired for free) that you thoroughly enjoy and would recommend to others?
  2. I bought the David Goggins book called Can’t Hurt Me (recommended to me by Nina, thanks girl!) and it was an incredible book. It is extremely motivational and eye opening. I highly recommend listening to the audio book and/or grabbing a hard copy.


  1. Any advice you would give your 25 year old self?
  2. Don’t take yourself so seriously! We only have one shot at this thing called life, live it to the fullest.
