Before I started training with Nabil I was at a fitness standstill. All of a sudden my usual routine of cardio machines and dance classes wasn’t cutting it.  My problem was that I wasn’t seeing any results or progress despite my efforts to lead a healthy lifestyle.  I have to say that after just a few workouts I was hooked!  Nabil’s classes are fun, challenging, and different every time.  After each session I always feel a little stronger, faster, and more educated about fitness and nutrition.  I also continue to see results and feel the benefits of training regularly.   When I first started training in February 2008 my body fat was at 23.9% and as of December 2008 I am at 15.6%. Since I’ve started training with Nabil I haven’t just noticed a difference in my body composition  but also in the amount of energy and strength that I have to get through the daily rigors of life.  Training with Nabil has had such a positive effect on my outlook on health and fitness, and for that I am truly grateful.   -Sarah G.

As a cyclist who does both distance cycling and time trials I am reluctant to do a lot of weight lifting during the off season. I don’t want any injuries and I don’t want to bulk-up. Your program improved my core and leg strength while keeping my weight down. I wanted to let you know my power at anabolic threshold has increased 80 watts in the three months since I began working with you. You have increased my strength and flexibility and I am injury free. My first club time trial I improved by 3 minutes and second place was over 6 minutes back. I am on track to my best year thanks to you.    -Bill S.

I have really enjoyed working with Nabil for my personal training and having him guide me to healthier eating choices.  I love his attitude and his honesty in his training approaches.  I have seen a noticeable difference in myself when I follow his advice and when I work as hard as he pushes me to.  Through Nabil, I have learned that there are no shortcuts to getting where I want my body to be and that it takes hard work and dedication to get to the fitness level I want to be at.  Nabil has guided and instructed me in ways I never know possible and has shown me that there are a lot of distorted ways of thinking about fitness and nutrition.  Every time I can I invite someone to talk to him or to work out with him because I truly believe in what Nabil has taught me.     -Kristen M.

I have known and worked with Nabil Langkilde for several years, watching him train young athletes and adults from around the area.  He is the new generation of performance coaches that is changing the landscape of health, fitness, and human performance.  Nabil brings back what is so intrinsic and core to human movement, yet adds the principles of science that demystifies and uncovers the truth about health and fitness.  I could think of no better trainer, coach, or fitness consult to refer my athletes to.  As a trainer he lives his message, he is an incredible fitness athlete that automatically brings legitimacy to his message.  He is a resource for me on CrossFit, nutrition, athletic performance and he is always the first name I give to anyone wanting a personal trainer or performance coach.   -David M.  -C.S.C.S.

Prior to training with Nabil I was a dedicated gym member, lifting weights, spinning, and attending various classes 5 days a week.  However, I wasn ‘ t getting the results I was looking for.  In October 2008 I finally decided to start training with Nabil.  I was completely hooked after the first training session. I quickly learned that the keys to success are diverse and utterly challenging workouts; and eating the right foods in the correct proportions.  After training with Nabil in both individual and group settings I ‘ m seeing results!  I ‘ ve seen my strength, speed, endurance, and flexibility improve. Nabil is incredibly knowledgeable on fitness and nutrition and it ‘ s evident that he takes great pride in seeing his clients learn more about fitness, nutrition, and most importantly achieving their goals. I’m truly grateful for everything that I’ve learned – it’s changed my life and approach to fitness!   -Katherine L.

I began training with Nabil in 2006. I immediately noticed an instant improvement in my metabolic conditioning and strength shortly after training with Nabil. Nabil has a unique depth of knowledge in sports performance training, strength development, and fitness conditioning. In 2007, Nabil introduced me to Jager Bombs. This had the unfortunate effect of causing me to believe that I could broad jump over unsuspecting Hard Rock Hotel patrons as they lounged by the pool. Thankfully, Nabil also introduced me to Crossfit that same year. Doing Crossfit has taken my training to a level that I previously believed was unreachable. The high intensity workouts always leave me wanting more. I am bigger, faster, and stronger because of the Crossfit principals that Nabil has applied to my fitness regimen.  Nabil’s fitness knowledge is exceeded only by his passion for training people. He will always take the time to explain an exercise to you or guide you through adjustments in your workout. If you train with Nabil, be prepared to reach and exceed all of your fitness goals.     -Brandon B.

In working out with Nabil, you quickly learn that there is no need for fancy machines, fancy gyms, or fancy talk.  Think of Rocky preparing to fight Apollo Creed; simple, to the point, and no BS.  Nabil and the CrossFit program have offered me a much needed paradigm shift in how I think about fitness.  To top it all off, Nabil is super cool and obviously practices what he preaches.  Hats off to you Nabil!    -Jeremy G.

Nabil, I wanted to tell you how much you have changed my life…no, my family’s life, for the better. I first heard about you through a mutual friend, David and Suzanne Miller. I was complaining to them that I would run on the treadmill every other day and be miserable from my body being pounded after the workouts. I started dreading my workout routines. They told me about this guy, (you) that worked at Velocity Sports Performance, doing this CrossFit training. I had never heard of it before. Suzanne told me a story about you that impresses me to this day. She said, Nabil was training some fireman doing CrossFit. She told me that you wanted to know what the fireman went through and what demands were put on them during their everyday job duties. She said you donned a breathing apparatus that restricted your breathing and did a workout to tailor it to the fireman. I thought to myself what a stud. Months passed, maybe a year and i never forgot that story about you. I started doing the Body for Life regime. It was okay but I never achieved the results (mentally or physically) I was looking for. To be honest, you were somewhat of a urban legend to me and I was a little intimidated. I finally saw you at the desk of Club Sport. I asked you about setting up a session to try this CrossFit thing out. Well…after the first work out I was amazed and afraid. I was so sore, not like the sore from doing bicep curls or some one movement exercise to build one muscle group, but whole body sore. I don’t think I came back for a few days. When I did I told you that I felt like an old man and to take it easy on me. I like the workouts because they are different everyday; that’s huge! There is no boredom. The other great thing is in a group setting everybody can do the same workout, those that are in better shape just go faster. I also love the competitiveness of CrossFit, trying to beat another person that’s doing the same thing you are doing. Its very humbling getting the snot beat out of you from a girl thats half your size. You have taught me that CrossFit is not just about working out hard its about changing your life by making healthy eating choices (fuel for your body). I think I speak for most of us that we have all tried different diets out there. It’s very hard to maintain consistency with them. You turned me on to the Zone Diet. My family has been on the Zone Diet for about 2 months. It literally has changed the way we feel. We have more energy and feel great throughout the day without that hungry feeling. When at home or going out to dinner we are able to make healthy choices and balance our meals (carbs, fats and proteins). You are great guy with a vast knowledge of the body. If you desire to live long, be healthy and happy, stick to his regime in and out of the gym and I guarantee you will have the results you desire. Thanks Nabil    -Brad V.

My soccer coaches from U10 to the present have talked about my “potential” without giving me the tools to unlock it.  Nabil’s creative approach to training is helping me to develop the explosive power necessary to realize that potential.  If you want to break a sweat on the elliptical and lift weights on the machines for 30 minutes, then go somewhere else.  Nabil pushes me to my limits and beyond in every workout.  He knows just what I need from week-to-week and is not afraid to tell me.  Every week I train with Nabil brings me a week closer to my athletic goals.  I notice the difference every time I step on the field. Trust Nabil with your athletic goals and you will achieve them.    -Kate M.

As a high school football playerI had to be ready for summer workouts. Training with Nabil is definitely hard work but you know that you are making progress and getting stronger. He makes training fun (at least compared to gassers in football practice!). He also understands what training an athlete needs so that the focus is on the right stuff.   -Scott A.    De La Salle Football

I first met Nabil, 31 years ago in a hospital just outside Atlanta, GA.  It wasn’t apparent right away that he would grow up to be an amazing trainer.  There were some problems early on.  Refusing to eat his vegetables was a big problem.  An insatiable appetite for Count Chocula cereal, ice cream, and all things chocolate, also hinted at a future plagued by obesity and diabetes.  He also had a problem accepting what was labeled as “normal”; years later this would be key for his role in re-shaping what people believe to be, “fitness”.  In high school things started to look brighter; Ric Flair, The Four Horsemen, and the Midnight Express had given way to real wrestling, and Nabil seemed to have found something he enjoyed.  Still, academics were his strongest suit, and with a full academic scholarship going into college, things were looking even brighter.  But along with college came Madden Football and James Bond: Golden Eye, and soon there after Nabil lost his academic scholarship.  After dabbling as an average student, and watching student loan debt increase, Nabil decided to make his passion, his career.  Settling for nothing but excellence from that point forward, Nabil then graduated college at the top of his class and has continued to strive for excellence and constant growth in his career.    -Mrs. Langkilde
