With the 2018 CrossFit Open right around the corner, we have setup another year of our Preseason Open workouts with CrossFit Walnut Creek.  This is just a fun way to get in some of the past CrossFit Open workouts, in preparation for the upcoming Open.  Just like the past few years, we’ll alternate weeks between our location and CrossFit Walnut Creek’s locations (they just opened up their second location in Concord, at the former location of CrossFit Redux).

If there are some dates that work for you, and others that don’t, or some workouts look fun, and others not so much, don’t sweat it!  You can do as many or as few as you like, and as always, the workouts can be scaled to fit your ability!

Here’s the schedule:

Week 1 – Thurs. 1/11/18 @ 7pm – CrossFit Walnut Creek (downtown WC location)
CrossFit Open 11.6/12.5

AMRAP 7 minutes:
3 Thursters 110/65
3 Chest to Bar Pullups
6 Thrusters
6 Chest to Bar Pullups
9
9
12
12… etc. etc.

 

Week 2 – Thurs. 1/18/18 @ 7pm – CrossFit Sweat Shop
CrossFit Open 17.1

For time:
10 DB Snatch 50/35
15 Burpee Box Jump Overs
20 DB Snatch
15 Burpee Box Jump Overs
30 DB Snatch
15 Burpee Box Jump Overs
40 DB Snatch
15 Burpee Box Jump Overs
50 DB Snatch
15 Burpee Box Jump Overs

 

Week 3 – Thurs. 1/25/18 @ 7pm – CrossFit Walnut Creek (downtown WC location)
CrossFit Open 16.2

Beginning on a 4-minute clock, complete as many reps as possible of:

25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
15 squat cleans, 135 / 85 lb.
If completed before 4 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
13 squat cleans, 185 / 115 lb.
If completed before 8 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
11 squat cleans, 225 / 145 lb.
If completed before 12 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
9 squat cleans, 275 / 175 lb.
If completed before 16 minutes, add 4 minutes to the clock and proceed to:

25 toes-to-bars
50 double-unders
7 squat cleans, 315 / 205 lb.
Stop at 20 minutes.

Week 4 – Thurs. 2/1/18 @ 7pm – CrossFit Sweat Shop
CrossFit Open 17.4

AMRAP 13 minutes:
55 Deadlifts 225/155
55 Wall Balls
55 Calorie Row
55 Handstand Pushups

 

Week 5 – Thurs. 2/8/18 @ 7pm – Concord Location of CrossFit Walnut Creek

Workout TBD – We are going to try and guess, based off the clues he has released, what Dave Castro has in mind for 18.1.  We’ll announce our last preseason workout ASAP!
